D2 Survivors Resurrected is built from your own installed copy of Diablo II: Resurrected. On first launch it finds your D2R install and prepares the art from it on your PC. Nothing of Blizzard's is ever downloaded from us, and your D2R install is only read, never changed.
D2R must be installed through Battle.net on the same PC. You don't need to start it or be logged in.
How to install
Download the installer
Use the button above. It's a single file,
D2-Survivors-Resurrected-Setup-2026.1030.0.exe.Run it
Double-click the file and choose where to install. It takes a few seconds and adds a desktop and Start menu shortcut.
"Windows protected your PC"? The game isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognise it. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Launch the game
It finds Diablo II: Resurrected by itself. If it can't, it asks you to pick the D2R folder: the one with
D2R.exein it, usuallyC:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II Resurrected.Let it prepare, then play
The first launch prepares the art from your D2R install. On a typical gaming PC you can play after about 5–12 minutes: the town, Act I and the menus come first. The later acts are prepared in the background while you play, about 1–2½ hours in all, and only once for each version of D2R.

The game picks a graphics setting for your PC by itself (Esc, then Options, to change it). Low runs on modest and integrated graphics.
If something goes wrong
- It can't find Diablo II: Resurrected
- Pick the folder that has
D2R.exein it. If D2R isn't installed, install it from Battle.net first. - My antivirus warns about it
- New, unsigned games sometimes get flagged. Download only from this page, and allow it if your antivirus asks.
- D2R updated: do I need to do anything?
- No. On the next launch the game notices the new D2R version and prepares again what changed.
- How do I uninstall it?
- Windows Settings, then Apps, then D2 Survivors Resurrected. The prepared art is kept in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\D2SurvivorsResurrected; delete that folder to free its space. - How do my runs get on the leaderboards?
- Open Leaderboards from the game's main menu and log in with Discord. Full clears and new Inferno tiers then post themselves, and you can see where you stand on the leaderboards.
